Senior Product Quality Engineer – NPI/NTI (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Lead quality activities across New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Technology Introduction (NTI) projects.
• Define and review qualification strategies, reliability test plans, risk assessments, and production readiness criteria.
• Identify failure mechanisms, lead 8D problem-solving, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze yield, test, and reliability data to identify trends, deviations, and systemic risks.
• Coordinate with R&D, process engineering, manufacturing, test engineering, reliability laboratories, and customers.
• Own qualification reports, control plans, PPAP/PSW packages, change records, safe-launch plans, and Zero Defect project-gate deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices, assembly and packaging, wafer fabrication, test engineering, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with NPI/NTI processes in semiconductors or high-reliability electronics; the role is also open to engineers without experience who are willing to learn.
• Understanding of reliability testing including HTOL, HAST, temperature cycling, HTS, ESD, and latch-up.
• Knowledge of failure-analysis techniques such as SEM, EDX, X-Ray, curve tracing, decapsulation, cross-sectioning, FIB, and OBIRCH.
• Strong use of quality and root-cause tools including 8D, FMEA, SPC, DOE, and APQP, with cross-functional leadership and data-driven problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automotive quality standards such as AEC-Q100, JEDEC JESD47, and IATF 16949.
• Experience in automotive semiconductor environments.
• Experience working with global automotive, industrial, or consumer-electronics customers.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor quality, failure analysis, product engineering, or reliability engineering.
