NPI Lead / MSAT System Engineer (Spectroscopy)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; onsite manufacturing role

What you will do

• Lead the transfer of new products from development into mass and serial production.
• Act as the central Global Operations technical interface between R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and business stakeholders.
• Apply Design-for-Excellence principles to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, assembly, and automation.
• Define system-level manufacturing concepts, test strategies, qualification plans, and industrialization approaches.
• Lead prototype ramp, reliability validation, launch-readiness evaluation, and platform technology initiatives.
• Investigate complex technical issues, establish corrective actions, and support scalable assembly, calibration, and testing architectures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of experience in a comparable engineering role.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Experience with technical drawings, CAD tools, and PCBA design, manufacturing, and qualification processes.
• Strong project management, organizational, analytical, teamwork, and technical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FMEA, DoE, DfX, Value Engineering, or similar engineering methods.
