Oracle Cloud Security Engineer (OCI)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
• Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using OCI security services and cloud-native security frameworks.
• Manage identity, access controls, IAM policies, and identity federation.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, compliance, and security incident response programs.
• Integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms and collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct code and design reviews and mentor more junior engineers.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 12 or more years of cloud security experience with strong hands-on OCI experience.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks, CIS benchmarks, regulatory frameworks, vulnerability management, and patching tools.
• Strong scripting skills with Python and Bash, Terraform experience, and excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures, SOAR platforms, automated incident response, or zero-trust architecture.
