Mid Java Developer – Backend & API Integration

Location: Porto, Portugal — hybrid. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

hirify.global provides a technology opportunity supporting a financial services institution and its LoanIQ platform for global banking operations.

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance Java backend applications and Angular 2+ frontends supporting the LoanIQ ecosystem.
• Develop RESTful web services and integrate API gateways with RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, and JMS messaging solutions.
• Write complex relational database queries and stored procedures, and optimize data access with JPA and Hibernate.
• Build unit tests with JUnit and Mockito, manage builds with Maven, and support Git- and Jenkins-based deployments.
• Collaborate in an international Agile team based in Paris and Porto while supporting global banking branches.

Requirements

• 4+ years of IT development experience with strong full-stack Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot/MVC/Batch, Java EE, JPA/Hibernate, and REST API design.
• Experience with Angular 2+ and relational databases, including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with Maven, Git, Jenkins, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Fluent English is mandatory, and candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, RabbitMQ or IBM MQ, API gateways, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with JSF or other frontend frameworks.
• French language skills for coordination with Paris.
