TL;DR
Systems Engineer (Space Technology): Supporting the design, integration, verification, and validation of complex spacecraft missions with an accent on system architecture, requirements traceability, MBSE, and multidisciplinary subsystem coordination. Focus on performing system-level analysis, maintaining technical models, supporting AIT and environmental testing, and contributing to FMECA and FDIR strategies.

Location: Hybrid in Porto, Portugal; Barcelona, Spain; or Athens, Greece. These roles can be based in any of the listed locations. Applicants must have the legal right to work in their chosen location.

What you will do

  • Support spacecraft system design, integration, verification, and validation across multiple missions.
  • Contribute to system architecture, subsystem interface management, system-level analysis, trade studies, and performance assessments.
  • Define and maintain system requirements, traceability, verification plans, system models, and technical documentation.
  • Apply MBSE methodologies and tools throughout the mission lifecycle.
  • Support FMECA activities, FDIR strategies, Assembly, Integration and Test activities, and functional and environmental testing.
  • Collaborate with subsystem teams, suppliers, design review participants, and multidisciplinary engineering groups.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles in satellite or complex multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and system-level design concepts, including power, AOCS, communications, propulsion, thermal, and mechanical domains.
  • Experience or familiarity with requirements management, verification, validation, and interface control.
  • Awareness of MBSE methodologies and tools such as Capella, MagicDraw, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of FMECA, FDIR, CONOPS, system budgets, and mission-level analysis.
  • Legal right to work in the selected location and ability to submit the application in English.
