Factory Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia; onsite factory role

What you will do

• Develop and manage production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory, materials, and factory capacity.
• Own the 13-week Master Production Schedule, including safety stock, lead times, capacity planning, and Available-to-Promise commitments.
• Monitor work-in-progress and finished goods inventory while improving material flow and minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
• Coordinate production, supply chain, logistics, sales, regional teams, and 3PL partners on orders, shipment plans, and delivery commitments.
• Prepare planning reports and dashboards covering schedule adherence, order lead time, delivery performance, capacity utilization, inventory, backorders, and production order aging.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in production, factory, supply chain, or related planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP or ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, demand planning, and capacity planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
