Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Salary: A$130,000–A$160,000 per annum

hirify.global is hiring for a cloud engineering role focused on enterprise infrastructure, networking, and security.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Architect secure VPC/VNet networking, subnets, routing, DNS, and connectivity.
• Configure Palo Alto firewalls, security groups, network security controls, and related protections.
• Maintain and extend Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security, and support vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain CI/CD deployment infrastructure, cloud migration initiatives, hybrid connectivity, and web application deployment environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking, including VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing tables, and DNS.
• Experience managing firewalls and security controls such as Palo Alto, AWS Security Groups, NACLs, Azure NSGs, and Azure Firewall.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, secure VPN and private endpoint connectivity, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, plus effective troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect certification.
• Experience with zero-trust security, network segmentation, private networking, and advanced security architectures.
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, DevOps methodologies, and Agile practices.
