TL;DR
Cloud Engineer (Azure/Terraform): Designing, automating, securing, and managing scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure with an accent on Infrastructure as Code, DevOps pipelines, networking, governance, and identity management. Focus on building repeatable deployments, troubleshooting hybrid connectivity, implementing access controls, and maintaining reliable cloud operations.
Location: Brandon, FL 33510; onsite
Rate: $80+ per hour

What you will do
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure compute, storage, networking, and hybrid connectivity services.
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and repeatable provisioning workflows.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Git, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
- Implement Azure governance and security controls, including Azure Policy, RBAC, Defender for Cloud, and security scoring.
- Manage monitoring, backup, recovery, troubleshooting, and ongoing Azure operations.
- Support hybrid identity security through PIM, Conditional Access, and MFA.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, compute, and storage.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
- Experience with Azure networking, private endpoints, hybrid connectivity, governance, and RBAC.
- Experience with Azure monitoring, operational management, hybrid identity, PIM, Conditional Access, and MFA.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure Virtual WAN and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Experience with Azure Advisor, security scoring, and the Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Advanced scripting and automation experience with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
