Focus on analyzing payer requirements, solving complex reimbursement and affordability issues, managing territory relationships, and collaborating across a matrix organization while spending up to 50% of time on-site and traveling up to 75%.

Location: Field-based territory covering Kansas City, Missouri; Kansas City, Kansas; Wichita, Kansas; and Topeka, Kansas. Permanent residence in the listed territory is required. The role involves up to 50% on-site work with healthcare providers and up to 75% travel.

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submission, payer procedures, coding, coverage, and payment requirements.
  • Serve as the local access, fulfillment, and reimbursement subject-matter expert for field support teams.
  • Identify and resolve patient access, affordability, prior authorization, billing, and appeals barriers.
  • Build relationships with healthcare provider accounts and manage territory logistics, routing, and account planning.
  • Collaborate with sales, managed care, marketing, medical science, compliance, and Patient Engagement and Customer Solutions stakeholders.
  • Monitor payer policies, market dynamics, hub services, and specialty distribution channels to improve patient and practice support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or public administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in account management, reimbursement, managed care, revenue cycle, or provider-office operations.
  • Expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, including buy-and-bill, assignment of benefits, coding, billing, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Experience with patient support hub services and the ability to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, collaboration, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid US driver’s license, compliant driving record, and permanent residence in the listed territory are required.

Nice to have

  • Neuroscience disease-state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer initiatives, and pharmaceutical reimbursement policy.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI.
