Application Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Makati City, Philippines; hybrid and flexible working available

What you will do

• Ensure stable and reliable operation of the Temenos Data Source enterprise data management system for financial instrument data.
• Plan and implement application releases, upgrades, deployments, and operational changes.
• Monitor application services, interfaces, and batch processing to maintain service quality and availability.
• Manage incidents, problems, exceptions, and on-call support activities.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
• Develop operational procedures, automation scripts, monitoring solutions, documentation, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in application management, application support, or production operations for business-critical systems.
• Strong Bash or Shell scripting skills and Linux/Unix experience, including troubleshooting, log analysis, job scheduling, and operational support.
• Hands-on experience with Java application servers, preferably JBoss or WildFly, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with release management, application deployments, operational change processes, monitoring, incident management, and problem management.
• Working knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and SQL scripts, plus very good English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Banking or financial services experience.
• Knowledge of Temenos Data Source, TDS, T-ProDB, or similar enterprise data management platforms.
