Senior Manager, Marketing - Rare Disease, Japan

What you will do

• Lead brand strategy and execution for designated rare disease areas in Japan.
• Drive local brand planning through market analysis and customer-focused messaging.
• Partner with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to develop aligned brand strategies.
• Analyze brand performance, risks, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Develop disease-area and product education, promotional materials, and sales communications.
• Lead external stakeholder engagement through congresses and healthcare professional meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of biotech or pharmaceutical brand marketing experience, including marketing launch experience.
• Ability to lead initiatives independently from strategy through execution.
• Experience developing brand strategies, promotional plans, and stakeholder engagement programs.
• Experience managing advertising agencies, suppliers, and annual budgets, with knowledge of local healthcare compliance and promotional regulations.
• Business-level English proficiency; willingness to travel 10–20%, including occasional weekends.
