Senior Scientist (Supervisor)

Location: On-site full-time, 5 days per week in Durham, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $122,000–$147,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Design, plan, and execute experiments for platform troubleshooting, optimization, and research objectives.
• Analyze experimental results, identify root causes of performance issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot methods, protocols, and workflows to improve robustness, efficiency, and data quality.
• Supervise, coach, provide feedback to, and support the career development of scientists and research associates.
• Set team priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of research projects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations while collaborating with cross-functional research and development teams.

Requirements

• PhD with 2–5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 5–8 years, or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related discipline.
• Expertise in molecular biology, protein chemistry, or related experimental methods.
• Experience independently designing and executing experiments from concept through data interpretation.
• Technical research contributions demonstrated through publications, presentations, or project outcomes.
• Proficiency with laboratory techniques and data analysis tools, plus strong technical communication skills.
• Knowledge of GMP quality systems and regulated laboratory or medical-device standards, including ISO 13485, CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH, ISO 15189, IVDD, IVDR, FDA 21 CFR 800 series, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
