What you will do

• Develop and optimize peptide API synthesis and manufacturing processes from laboratory development through commercialization.
• Address scale-up challenges and ensure processes can be operated safely and robustly in manufacturing environments.
• Lead continuous improvement, technical transfer to manufacturing sites, and resolution of technical manufacturing issues.
• Design and execute multidisciplinary research and development strategies for major commercial processes.
• Lead troubleshooting of product failures and recommend remediation strategies.
• Mentor scientific personnel and collaborate with quality, regulatory, development, and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with 16 years of related experience, master’s degree with 14 years, or PhD with 8 years.
• Experience with API and/or natural product processes in pharmaceuticals.
• Peptide development and/or manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in multidisciplinary and cross-functional environments.
• Experience developing processes for commercialization, plant efficiency, product quality, cost control, and product design changes.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with experience authoring publications, presentations, regulatory documents, or patents.
