Senior Engineer - ETA ADC/Peptide (Biotech)

Location: United States — preferred location in Thousand Oaks, California; San Francisco, Boston, and North Carolina are also considered as alternate locations.

Salary: $115,494.60–$156,257.40 annual base salary

What you will do

• Provide engineering technical authority for drug substance process systems supporting antibody drug conjugate and peptide manufacturing.
• Lead planning, design, equipment selection, construction, commissioning, qualification, operation, and maintenance support for manufacturing infrastructure.
• Translate business needs into engineering technology solutions and lead alternatives analysis for major projects.
• Resolve complex technical issues during construction, including requests for information, conflicts, system failures, and commissioning challenges.
• Improve system performance, reliability, maintenance practices, and lifecycle value across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Lead technical networks, mentor subject matter experts, and represent hirify.global with external firms, technical societies, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree; or a master’s degree with 2 years of engineering experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years; or an associate’s degree with 8 years; or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or another engineering discipline with life science experience.
• At least 5 years of capital project design experience delivering complex projects in a regulated environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in peptide manufacturing and/or antibody drug conjugate engineering, preferably across laboratory, kilo-lab, and manufacturing scales.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities, with knowledge of cGMP, building codes, and Boiler and Pressure Vessel codes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate across an international network, and support regulatory and compliance requirements.
