Principal Engineer I, Process Development (Pharmaceutical)

Salary: $124,500–$236,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional projects developing robust processes for late-stage small-molecule solid dosage assets and commercial products.
• Act as a technical expert, anticipating and resolving complex engineering and process-development challenges.
• Design and coordinate experiments, evaluate scientific observations, and ensure experimental quality.
• Develop and implement novel engineering approaches and champion new technologies across departments and business units.
• Present complex technical data and author technical reports, documentation, and regulatory submissions.
• Share expertise, mentor colleagues, and maintain internal and external technical networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
• At least 14 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 12 years with a master’s degree, or 6 years with a PhD.
• Strong engineering background and deep technical expertise in pharmaceutical development.
• Extensive experience in laboratory and production environments; solid oral dosage process development experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, influence cross-functional collaborators, and communicate with diverse scientific groups.
