UI Lead Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What you will do

• Define frontend architecture for enterprise web applications built with React and TypeScript.
• Develop shared component libraries, design systems, and UI engineering standards.
• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces using Chakra UI.
• Lead performance initiatives including code splitting, lazy loading, bundle optimization, and rendering strategies.
• Own Webpack-based frontend build and deployment pipelines and collaborate on API contracts, integrations, and CI/CD strategies.
• Lead and mentor frontend engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, Agile ceremonies, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• 10 years of progressive frontend engineering experience, including 3 years in a lead role.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, ES6, Chakra UI, Webpack, and enterprise-scale state management.
• Experience with micro-frontend or modular large-scale frontend systems, SOLID principles, clean architecture, and design systems.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs, AWS, and containerized frontend deployments.
