C++ Engineer (Decoders)

Location: Hybrid, with weekly office time in Hyderabad, India or Krakow, Poland; flexibility to work from home. Occasional travel may be required. The role supports jurisdictions across EMEA, USA, and APAC.

What you will do

• Design and develop new features across hirify.global's product range.
• Build technology for analyzing customer market positions, backbone network performance, and application performance.
• Develop solutions for real-time and historical raw and normalized market data.
• Work on high-performance, highly available systems that process large volumes of network data in real time.
• Bring hirify.global technology to new markets and deployment models.
• Diagnose field issues using limited operational data and collaborate with experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of software development experience.
• Expert C++ development skills under Linux.
• Experience with Python, shell scripting, makefiles, Linux development tools, gdb, and valgrind.
• Knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, multithreaded application development, and IP networking.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration testing.

Nice to have

• Ability to design maintainable, efficient, high-performance, and highly available code.
• Understanding of C++ implementation details and their impact on performance.
• Ability to reason about technical trade-offs, follow established patterns, and create new patterns when needed.
• Ability to solve production issues from limited information and accept constructive feedback.
