Senior Business Program Manager (2 Year Fixed Term) (Technical Programs)

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States

Base salary: USD $100,042–$142,560 annually. Target annual bonus varies by role level.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide programs involving multiple projects, workstreams, and business stakeholders.
• Develop integrated program plans, roadmaps, dependency maps, risk registers, and milestone schedules.
• Partner with executive sponsors and business leaders to define objectives, priorities, and success criteria.
• Drive governance processes, executive reporting, decision-making forums, and cross-functional alignment.
• Manage program risks, issues, dependencies, change impacts, budgets, resources, and benefit realization.
• Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and executive-level presentations while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale, complex business or technology programs.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong executive presence with excellent presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance processes in matrixed organizations.
• Individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Master's degree, MBA, or related qualification.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program/project management certification.
• Experience leading enterprise transformation, digital modernization, or business process improvement initiatives.
• Experience within a PMO, portfolio management, or governance environment.
