ML/MLOps Engineer in Germany (AI)

Location: Germany; fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work is available.

Salary: €4,100–€6,475 gross per month, depending on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Build and orchestrate ML pipelines with Kubeflow Pipelines KFP v2.
• Train models on GPUs and manage GPU resources in Kubernetes.
• Fine-tune transformers and LLMs, and track experiments and models with MLflow.
• Develop classic machine learning models with XGBoost and CatBoost.
• Develop Python pipelines, integrations, and tooling; work with SQL Server and DuckDB for large-scale data processing.
• Maintain code quality through testing and GitLab CI/CD while working in a zero-trust, secure-by-default environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an MLOps Engineer or ML Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Kubeflow Pipelines KFP v2, GPU model training, LLM or transformer fine-tuning, and MLflow.
• Experience with XGBoost or CatBoost, Python, SQL, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience in regulated or enterprise cloud-native environments, plus clean-code, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• English at Intermediate+ level or above and German at Upper-Intermediate level or above are required.

Nice to have

• LLM pre-training experience beyond fine-tuning.
• GPU orchestration in Kubernetes and experience with zero-trust environments.
• Knowledge of DuckDB and modern Python tooling such as uv.
