Senior Advanced Contracts Specialist (Defense)

Location: United States citizenship required; ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at hire.

Salary: USD $119,087–$128,856 per year.

What you will do

• Act as the focal point for contractual communications and commitments with customers and subcontractors.
• Draft, negotiate, execute, and manage contracts and subcontracts in line with business objectives and company policies.
• Monitor contract performance, scope changes, and related risks, coordinating corrective actions with program management, engineering, finance, and other functions.
• Support proposals and programs by addressing contract requirements and preparing subcontractor request-for-proposal documentation.
• Review subcontractor proposals and participate in source selection, fact-finding, technical evaluation, and cost or price analysis.
• Provide expertise, leadership, and recommendations on complex or unusual contracting and subcontracting matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire is required.
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal regulations, including FAR and DFARS, and experience with prime contractors or subcontractors.
• Strong contract management, document analysis, negotiation, communication, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize changing goals, and collaborate effectively across functions.
