Forward-Deployed Engineer (Agentic Product Management)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States; hybrid work with some in-office and/or in-person expectations

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 per year, with the final offer based on location, qualifications, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Embed in product organization functions such as product operations, program management, UX design, or product management.
• Discover problems with host teams and define the technical approach, architecture, agent boundaries, and human-in-the-loop requirements.
• Build and deploy production AI agents using prompts, context engineering, tools, retrieval, sub-agents, orchestration, and integration code.
• Create evaluations, golden sets, and regression checks to measure quality in non-deterministic systems.
• Own reliability, safety, and correctness in live workflows, then deliver enablement and handoff to the host team.
• Partner with security, IT, and data owners while contributing reusable agent patterns, evaluation harnesses, and platform improvements.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of experience shipping production software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt and context engineering, tool and function calling, retrieval, agent frameworks, evaluation of non-deterministic systems, and Model Context Protocol.
• Strong problem discovery, structured thinking, stakeholder management, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work in high-ambiguity environments and move between time-boxed engagements across different functions and domains.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office and/or in-person expectations in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Cursor and Claude Code.
• Experience with LangGraph and/or LangSmith.
• Experience with other orchestration platforms and agent frameworks.
