TL;DR
Senior Hardware Design Electrical Engineer (RFID): Designing and bringing embedded, digital, and analog hardware systems from concept to production with an accent on microprocessors, microcontroller-based systems, high-speed PCB design, and RF interfaces. Focus on developing and testing control systems, integrating DSP/ARM hardware, evaluating experimental results, and solving complex electrical design challenges for RFID products.

Location: Hybrid role required to be onsite in the Holtsville, New York office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $96,800–$145,200 annual base pay, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive of 10% of base pay.

What you will do

  • Design and develop embedded hardware from concept through production for RFID and other products.
  • Design, integrate, and test digital and analog control systems.
  • Develop DSP/ARM-based hardware and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Create electrical system plans, high-speed PCB designs, schematics, and RF interfaces.
  • Plan and evaluate experimental tests, analyze results, and select equipment for data collection.
  • Document installation and maintenance procedures and collaborate with users and cross-functional teams to define system requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in embedded system design and hardware development.
  • Experience with DSP/ARM-based hardware development, integration, and testing.
  • Experience designing digital and analog systems, with strong hardware and system knowledge.
  • Required experience with schematic capture, high-speed interfaces, PCB layout, and RF.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Holtsville, New York office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree, research and development experience, publications, or patents.
  • Programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
  • Experience with wireless communications, regulatory testing, debugging, and standards support.
  • Knowledge of digital interfaces including RS232, USB, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and SDIO.
  • Experience with battery-operated systems, PCB schematic capture, Cadence, and electronic test equipment.
