Senior Manager, Benefits (Biotechnology)

Location: Sleepy Hollow, New York or Rensselaer, New York, United States; onsite four days a week. Travel to other New York offices approximately once a month.

Salary: $126,300–$206,100 annually

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day administration of U.S. employee benefits programs, including health plans and additional benefits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of benefits specialists.
• Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations, including required reporting.
• Manage benefits vendors and third-party administrators, including contracts, service levels, and performance reviews.
• Partner with HR leadership, HR Business Partners, the Law Department, and the HR service center on benefits strategy and complex issues.
• Develop employee communications, presentations, workshops, and open enrollment events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of hands-on employee benefits management experience, including team leadership.
• Experience administering a self-insured health plan, including plan design and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, with excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, benefits software, Excel, and Microsoft tools.
• Ability to work onsite four days per week in Sleepy Hollow or Rensselaer, New York.

Nice to have

• Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification or similar credentials.
