What you will do

• Design, plan, and execute protein construct design, molecular cloning, expression, and purification strategies.
• Generate high-quality protein samples and enabling reagents for X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy.
• Develop and optimize purification protocols for protein purity, homogeneity, stability, and complex formation.
• Apply biochemical and biophysical methods to assess protein quality, stability, and mechanism of action.
• Manage multiple structural biology projects and deliver high-quality results within timelines.
• Present research findings to internal teams and external collaborators and troubleshoot experimental workflows.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant postdoctoral experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 3 years of molecular or structural biology experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in recombinant protein expression, purification, and quality assessment for structural biology applications.
• Hands-on experience with membrane proteins, including GPCRs, and challenging protein classes.
• Experience with mammalian, insect, and/or microbial expression systems and chromatography-based purification.
• Proficiency with biochemical and biophysical methods including SDS-PAGE, immunoblotting, SEC, SEC-MALS, DLS, SPR, and mass spectrometry.
• Strong communication, prioritization, collaboration, and project management skills.
