Software Engineer III - Mobile (iOS)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite work with in-person collaboration at Walmart campuses.

Salary: $117,000–$234,000 annual salary for the Sunnyvale location.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, deploy, and maintain feature-rich iOS applications for the Walmart Vision Center.
• Develop Swift-based applications for iPadOS that support eyewear ordering and contact lens management.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to maintain application stability and performance.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, third-party APIs, and web services.
• Implement secure data handling, caching, local storage, and synchronization.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams through design discussions, code reviews, and feature planning.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C for iOS application development.
• Experience integrating APIs and managing application data, storage, and synchronization.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2 years of software engineering experience, or 4 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, shifting priorities, production interruptions, and unfamiliar technical domains.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
