Research Coordinator, CEDRN & SPSN (Epidemiology)

Salary: $5,538.94–$6,497.44 CAD per month

hirify.global is a university research and education institution whose Department of Emergency Medicine conducts clinical, epidemiological, and health services research.

What you will do

• Coordinate multi-site research and evaluation activities across Canadian emergency departments within CEDRN and SPSN.
• Develop standard operating procedures, protocols, tools, data dictionaries, and workflows for influenza surveillance and vaccine effectiveness monitoring.
• Design and conduct quantitative and mixed-methods analyses covering testing volumes, positivity rates, participant characteristics, workflows, barriers, and implementation outcomes.
• Coordinate research ethics submissions, information-sharing agreements, pilot-site readiness, specimen processes, and compliance with privacy and data governance requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, conference presentations, abstracts, manuscripts, visuals, and knowledge translation materials for researchers, healthcare partners, policymakers, funders, and government stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, training, and supervision to graduate students and staff while working with investigators and multidisciplinary partners.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline or technical program and at least four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coordinating multi-site research or evaluation activities and managing complex procedures and protocols.
• Strong communication, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and accurately under pressure with multiple priorities, stakeholders, sensitive clinical information, and short deadlines.
• Knowledge of research ethics, privacy and legal requirements, standard operating procedures, data dictionaries, source documentation, and good clinical practice.
• Intermediate or advanced skills with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus REDCap or comparable data-management software.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in epidemiology, health administration, public health, or a related discipline.
• Experience with mixed-methods research and evaluation, project management, or NVivo.
• Familiarity with Canadian clinical and health services data, emergency medicine, laboratory workflows, surveillance, or grant-funded projects.
