Senior Scientist - Performance/Analytical Testing (Home Care)

Location: Trumbull, Connecticut, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Home Care Products facility. Travel of approximately 15% is required for third-party laboratory audits and manufacturing site meetings.

What you will do

• Generate scientific data for formulation development and cleaning-performance evaluation across home care product formats.
• Lead development of laboratory methods that predict consumer purchase intent and liking for key product attributes.
• Schedule and execute internal cleaning-performance, analytical, IHUT, and CLT testing.
• Develop customer demonstrations and approve or prepare internal performance reports.
• Partner with customer-selected third-party laboratories to align testing methods and support formulation screening.
• Maintain analytical instruments and laboratory equipment, manage preventive maintenance, and track samples, reports, benchmarks, and external testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in methods development and technical writing.
• Knowledge of home care formulation, stability testing, analytical and instrumental testing, ASTM methods, and laboratory methods.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Regulatory, Sales & Marketing, and Legal teams, including team and project management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, statistical analysis, written communication, and technical information-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and demonstrated proficiency in SAP.
