Staff Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)

Salary: $33–$38 per hour, plus company equity via stock options.

What you will do

• Support the month-end close by preparing and posting revenue-related journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and revenue accounts.
• Generate monthly fee invoices, process payment debit files, and upload files to the banking portal.
• Calculate and record merchant partner rebates.
• Resolve payment issues, verify refund requests, and support accounts receivable operations.
• Validate billing data between Salesforce and NetSuite and complete related accounting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3+ years of professional accounting or relevant administrative experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, data validation, and account reconciliation skills.
• Clear and accurate communication with internal and external customers.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and online banking applications.
• Experience in a high-growth business environment.
• Consumer finance or lending industry experience.
