Engineering Manager (Privacy and Login)

Location: Hybrid, with more than half of the time onsite in the San Francisco office; three days per week onsite.

Salary: $204,000–$240,000 annual base compensation, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the Privacy and Login team while remaining hands-on as an engineer and technical leader.
• Own the technical roadmap for account sign-up, login, password management, and account recovery.
• Build reliable login and privacy experiences across iOS, Android, and web.
• Give users clear ways to understand and manage privacy settings and data controls.
• Partner with Product, Security, Trust & Safety, and Legal on compliance and platform integrity.
• Improve login success rates, recovery flows, operational practices, inclusion, and mentorship.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of management or people leadership experience.
• 5+ years of fullstack or product engineering experience.
• Strong product engineering fundamentals across backend systems and consumer-facing interfaces.
• Ability to learn secure login experiences, privacy controls, and account systems; prior identity or authentication experience is not required.
• Ability to lead teams through ambiguous, high-stakes technical problems and drive consistency across platforms.
• Product mindset focused on user experience, data protection, abuse prevention, and platform trust.
