Associate Scientist (In Vivo Pharmacology)

Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States; laboratory-based role involving in vivo and in vitro research activities.

What you will do

• Design, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo and in vitro pharmacology studies.
• Perform tumor inoculation and measurement, oral, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, and intravenous dosing, blood and tissue collection, and model development.
• Conduct cellular assays, multiparametric flow cytometry, molecular biology, and ex vivo techniques to interpret in vivo findings.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment while maintaining accurate records and analyzing data.
• Present findings and participate in cross-departmental research teams and meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 1 year of in vivo pharmacology and laboratory experience, or bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, biology, cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, or a related field, with 4 years of scientific laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with preclinical cancer models, drug administration through multiple routes, blood and tissue collection, and in vivo pharmacology.
• Experience with molecular, cellular, and ex vivo biological techniques and assays.
• Computer literacy, including GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and scientific software.
• Attention to detail, proactive collaboration, enthusiasm for learning, and the ability to deliver high-quality results.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with in vivo bioluminescence imaging.
• Flow cytometry and multiparametric analysis experience, including five or more colors.
• Previous drug discovery experience.
