Industry Solution Leader - Heavy Industrial (Integrated Steel Optimization and Asset Performance) (AI)

Location: New York, New York, United States. Travel to customer locations is required as needed.

Salary: $130,000–$203,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Own solution strategy, technical direction, delivery outcomes, and customer value from problem definition through production scale.
• Lead customer-facing discovery across engineering, operations, maintenance, reliability, and executive stakeholders.
• Identify and quantify opportunities involving equipment reliability, throughput, yield, quality, energy efficiency, maintenance, and operating economics.
• Translate industrial challenges into AI, machine learning, optimization, and software requirements with measurable success criteria.
• Lead cross-functional teams through architecture, configuration, validation, deployment, adoption, and scale-out.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to develop reusable solution patterns, support sales opportunities, and create deployment plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, reliability, maintenance, industrial technology, or technical consulting.
• Hands-on experience in an integrated steel mill, with exposure to BF, BOF/BOP, caster, HSM, and/or cold rolling or finishing operations.
• Experience owning or improving throughput, yield, scrap, quality, energy, downtime, line balance, bottleneck removal, equipment reliability, or maintenance effectiveness.
• Experience with industrial data and systems such as process historians, SCADA, DCS, MES, EAM/CMMS, ERP, advanced process control, or industrial analytics platforms.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, optimization, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, or industrial digital transformation solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, analytics tools, application configuration, or scripting.
• Experience taking solutions from proof of value through production deployment and scaling across assets, plants, or business units.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
