TL;DR

Sr Drive Functional Engineer (HDD): Solving hard disk drive problems and improving product quality, yield, and test time in ARS/HDM functions with an accent on head-media analysis, flyability, and mechanical and electrical effects. Focus on leading critical projects, performing data and electrical failure analysis with C, Python, and MATLAB, and providing on-site technical support to manufacturing and engineering teams.

Location: On-site in Korat, Thailand. Travel: None.

What you will do

Collaborate with product engineering, design center, and reliability teams to solve HDD problems and improve quality, yield, and test time.
Lead critical ARS/HDM products and projects involving head flyability, head-media interaction, and mechanical or chemical effects on drive performance.
Assist with drive test processes, propose process improvements, and participate in design concepts.
Provide direct on-site technical support to manufacturing operations, product engineers, reliability teams, and design centers.
Perform data analysis and electrical failure analysis using HDD tools, C, Python, and MATLAB to identify root causes and evaluate new designs or algorithms.
Monitor ARS-related product performance, yield, and quality while acting as a technical consultant to engineering and factory teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, computer engineering, materials science, or equivalent experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office, C, Python, and MATLAB.
Experience in product or project management and data analysis.
Strong problem-solving, organization, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, manage multiple projects, lead and coach team members, and host meetings.
Good command of English and ability to work on-site in Korat, Thailand.
