Software Engineer III - Mobile (iOS/Swift)

Annual salary: $117,000–$234,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, deploy, and maintain feature-rich iOS and iPadOS applications for Walmart Vision Center.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party web services.
• Implement secure data handling, caching, local storage, and synchronization.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver sustainable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and feature planning.
• Optimize application performance, apply engineering best practices, and mentor small engineering groups.

Requirements

• Professional expertise in Swift and Objective-C for iOS application development.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL web services, and other data sources.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of software engineering experience, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, handle production interruptions, switch context, and learn new technologies quickly.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
