Software Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

hirify.global is an early-stage cybersecurity startup using AI and behavioral systems to reduce human errors and help employees make safer security decisions.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and ship end-to-end features for a Gen-AI security training platform.
• Build full-stack products, backend services, and data pipelines that integrate with customer datasets.
• Analyze security data and improve employee behavioral risk profiles.
• Improve and scale Gen-AI video generation systems.
• Iterate on customer feedback and validate features end-to-end in production.
• Work with founders and mentor engineers to understand requirements and design systems.

Requirements

• At least two internships in a Python backend environment.
• Strong backend API development fundamentals and experience shipping projects to production.
• Ability to write organized, well-factored, and well-tested Python code.
• Ability to understand and debug backend database schemas and data pipelines.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• Experience writing data pipelines and working in notebook-based data science environments.
• Experience designing database schemas and backend systems for end-to-end applications.
• React and JavaScript web application experience.
• Knowledge of REST, GraphQL, relational databases, MVC, and ORM fundamentals.
• Experience working in an AWS environment.
