TL;DR
Software Engineering Intern (AI) (Python/TypeScript/React/MongoDB): Building AI applications, data pipelines, evaluation infrastructure, and scalable tools for public-sector and enterprise systems with an accent on large-scale data processing, model reliability, and agentic AI. Focus on shipping production features, developing observable and testable AI tooling, and designing systems that support high-volume contributor and customer workflows.
Location: San Francisco, United States; available for a Summer 2027 internship starting in May or June.

What you will do
- Build reinforcement learning and post-training data pipelines for frontier model development.
- Develop evaluation infrastructure that measures model reliability for enterprise and public-sector customers.
- Ship agentic AI applications and tooling that makes them observable, testable, and safe to deploy.
- Build fraud-detection, contributor-quality, and contributor-to-customer matching systems.
- Develop scalable UI/UX and AI infrastructure products for visualizing, querying, and exploring data.
- Own production work on full-time engineering roadmaps with mentorship from experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, EECS, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Availability for a Summer 2027 internship in San Francisco, with a May or June start.
- Product engineering experience, including building full-stack web applications, integrating APIs and services, and iterating based on customer needs.
- Previous Computer Science or Software Engineering internship experience and a record of shipping high-quality products and features.
- Experience building systems that process large volumes of data.
- Experience with Python, TypeScript, React, and/or MongoDB.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, evaluations, or agentic systems through coursework, research, or personal projects.
- Open-source contributions or a portfolio of shipped side projects.
