Lead, Insider Threat

Location: Hybrid schedule with four onsite days per week, alternating between the New York City and Westport campuses

Compensation: $225,000–$375,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus; expected base salary is 70%–80% of this range.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the insider threat program, including proactive monitoring strategy, tooling, and detection capabilities.
• Scope, plan, and drive cross-functional insider threat initiatives through completion.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify risk areas, build threat awareness, and align monitoring priorities.
• Synthesize threat signals, assess severity, escalate risks, and brief senior leadership with recommendations.
• Oversee employee investigations and investigative interviews in partnership with HR or Legal.
• Develop security policies, procedures, training programs, and the long-term staff security roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, information technology, organizational science, organizational psychology, criminal justice, sociology, criminology, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in insider threat, staff security, security program development, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of security technologies and monitoring tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Project management skills and the ability to scope, plan, and deliver initiatives on schedule.
• Ability to operate autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure, and contribute to strategic program planning.
• Leadership experience mentoring or guiding team members without direct authority, with strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills.

Nice to have

• Interview and investigative skills for occasional case work with HR or Legal.
• Knowledge of best practices in insider threat detection and employee risk management.
