Data Scientist Senior

Location: Remote within Latin America

hirify.global is a remote startup building data products and machine learning systems for demand planning, forecasting, e-commerce, retail, visual recognition, and recommendation use cases.

What you will do

• Design and implement machine learning models for forecasting, recommendation systems, pricing, and churn.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and relationships.
• Define business problems, success metrics, and data requirements with stakeholders.
• Build scalable ML workflows, deploy models to production, and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to integrate models and communicate insights.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to standards for testing, reproducibility, and documentation.

Requirements

• Expert Python skills for data analysis and machine learning modeling.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning and statistical techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, time series analysis, and A/B testing.
• Experience deploying and maintaining production ML models and writing clean, reproducible code.
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with structured and unstructured data from relational databases or data lakes.
• Clear communication of technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cross-functional teams, Git, and agile development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with recommendation systems, dynamic pricing, or customer segmentation.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, and related data or ML services.
• Knowledge of Docker, Airflow or Prefect, MLflow, observability tools, and CI/CD for ML systems.
• Knowledge of Poetry or uv.
