Analytics Engineer (UK)

hirify.global’s Electrical Thermal Solutions business develops electrical process heating and temperature management technologies, including industrial heaters, heat tracing, and related components.

What you will do

• Gather business requirements and translate them into BI specifications, KPIs, metrics, dimensions, and data definitions.
• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models for operational and tactical decision-making.
• Build, maintain, test, and support data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Synapse Link, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Use SQL, Python, and PySpark for data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
• Apply source control, CI/CD, documentation, governance, and deployment practices across data and BI assets.
• Support users with report interpretation, KPI usage, troubleshooting, data dictionaries, and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience building Azure data pipelines with Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Synapse Link, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, Git, and CI/CD or automated deployment practices.
• Solid Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling, dashboards, and datasets.
• Understanding of modern data architecture, including medallion architecture, lakehouse design, and Delta Lake.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, workload management, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or global operational environments.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, finance, supply chain, sales, service, manufacturing, or operational data.
• Exposure to Power BI deployment pipelines, row-level security, workspace governance, Agile delivery, master data, data cataloguing, or metadata management.
• Interest in progressing toward senior data engineering or BI leadership.
