Focus on designing scalable semantic models, detecting anomalies, improving data quality, and translating complex datasets into actionable business and operational insights.
Location: Dundee, United Kingdom — hybrid

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Build scalable data models, semantic models, dashboards, self-service reporting capabilities, and operational KPIs.
- Develop Python-based data processing and automation for ingesting, transforming, validating, and analyzing large datasets.
- Create data pipelines and workflows for operational monitoring, anomaly detection, service analytics, and business intelligence.
- Integrate data from Azure, SQL databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and operational systems while establishing data quality and governance standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, business, and leadership stakeholders, support root cause analysis, document solutions, and mentor junior engineers and analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query, semantic models, and dashboard design.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or modern cloud analytics platforms; advanced Python and strong SQL skills.
- Experience with GitHub, collaborative development practices, Agile frameworks, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, or related cloud data technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, or statistical analysis.
- Experience with large-scale telemetry, operational, or IoT datasets.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
