Policy Specialist

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to work between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. as needed and travel when required.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, with the final offer based on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Review and implement Coordination of Benefits and Medicare Secondary Payer recovery policies for the BCRC contract.
• Provide technical guidance on CMS statutes, regulations, policies, and change requests.
• Review and provide feedback on Standard Operating Procedures, BCRC letters, Joint Operating Agreements, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with training, compliance, audit, and SOP teams to maintain procedural consistency.
• Identify policy and operational trends and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, data integrity, and compliance with contractual quality standards.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required for the Homeland Security Investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance and pass a customer background check.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant MSP Recovery experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience interpreting CMS Coordination of Benefits and Medicare Secondary Payer recovery policies.
• In-depth knowledge of CMS Internet-Only Manual guidelines, Medicare laws and regulations, HIPAA, and MSP-related systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, project-management, and organizational skills.
