Application Support Analyst (SQL Server/Azure)

Location: Remote, Canada. Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Travel: 10–25%.

Salary: CAD 53,600–76,500 annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Provide first-line technical support for Duck Creek applications and resolve user incidents submitted through the support portal.
• Investigate application, data, integration, configuration, authentication, and connectivity issues to identify root causes and implement resolutions.
• Manage ticket ownership, reduce backlog, maintain response standards, and escalate complex issues when required.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in support knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to resolve recurring issues and implement improvements or new features.
• Participate in training and stay current with system updates, application changes, and new functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in application support, IT operations, or a similar technical support role.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, performance analysis, replication, backups, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Azure services, IIS, SSO/SAML, REST APIs, FTP/SFTP, XML/XSLT, and PowerShell.
• Understanding of IT service management, incident/problem/change management, Agile and DevOps practices, enterprise software releases, and deployment processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Duck Creek products or similar enterprise software.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
• Experience in insurance technology or related industries.
