Senior Engineer, Machine Learning Research and Development (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Develop strategic roadmaps and capabilities for applied AI and machine learning in biopharmaceutical development.
• Build novel machine learning models that help development project teams make data-driven decisions.
• Deliver user-facing functionality that enables project teams to use models and consult with model builders.
• Work with business functions and IT to develop data flows and generate data blocks for modeling.
• Advise project teams on experimental design, investigations, and transforming historical data into knowledge.
• Collaborate with scientists to apply modeling to faster and more robust biologics process development in the CMC space.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Science, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in the offered role or a related Senior Engineer, Machine Learning Research and Development position.
• Experience with advanced therapies, science, development, and production processes in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience leading strategic modeling programs, selecting modeling techniques, and applying recent research literature.
• Experience with high-dimensional big data transformation, statistics, algorithm design, and model verification and validation.
• Experience with programming languages such as .NET, Java, Perl, C++, Matlab, R, Julia, or Python; SDLC approaches; and tools including JIRA, Git, Scrum, or Confluence.

Nice to have

• Experience applying large language models and full-stack development.
• Experience with Azure or Amazon Web Services cloud platforms.
