Electrical Design Engineer - Electric Power

Location: Griffin, Georgia, United States; onsite five days a week. Travel up to 10% is required. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year.

What you will do

• Plan and execute enclosure packaging development programs and maintenance initiatives.
• Lead global teams in designing new products, processes, components, and systems.
• Provide technical guidance on product requirements, analysis, and new engineering concepts.
• Communicate technical results with customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units.
• Manage project schedules, costs, technical trade-offs, and issue escalation.
• Mentor and coach team members while maintaining current knowledge of engineering technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Experience applying technical solutions to engineering challenges and analyzing root causes.
• Extensive experience with computer-aided design and engineering tools for product modeling, simulation, and testing.
• Experience with product design and development from concept through production.
• Ability to work onsite in Griffin, Georgia, five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with ProE/Creo electrical programs.
• Knowledge of UL, NEC, or CSA electrical codes.
• Engine or genset electrical design, controller development, or enclosure electrical layout experience.
• AC power distribution, DC system design, diesel engine/genset development, or FMEA experience.
