Sr. Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster

Location: California, United States; remote opportunity with an on-site presence required

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Assess coverage, investigate claims, develop action plans, evaluate fraud, and drive claim resolution.
• Gather and review reports, policies, releases, statements, and other claim documentation.
• Analyze liability, evaluate exposure, and maintain accurate reserves.
• Manage claims from inception through resolution, including settlements and payment processing.
• Ensure compliance with state, legal, statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Determine permanent-disability liability and coordinate litigation with defense teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims.
• Current California Adjuster Certification.
• Knowledge of the California Labor Code and state workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong customer service, verbal and written communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of computers and software.
