Sr. Claims Consultant - IAS

Location: Tustin, California, US. Full-time position; travel may be required.

Salary: $110,000 starting salary, negotiable at the time of offer.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary workers’ compensation claims consultant for an assigned book of business.
• Advocate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, defense counsel, and medical management vendors to improve claim outcomes.
• Review claim files, reserves, loss trends, litigation strategies, settlements, and return-to-work opportunities.
• Monitor large-loss, catastrophic, and complex claims while identifying cost-control and risk-reduction strategies.
• Lead client claim review meetings and stewardship presentations, preparing executive-level reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with producers, account executives, loss control, and service teams; provide technical guidance and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of workers’ compensation claims handling, claims consulting, brokerage advocacy, TPA management, or carrier claims experience.
• Expertise in California workers’ compensation claims and strong knowledge of multi-state workers’ compensation programs.
• Advanced knowledge of claims administration, litigation management, reserves, medical management programs, and complex claim exposures.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, with proficiency in claims analytics and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in an insurance brokerage, insurance carrier, self-insured employer, or third-party administrator environment.
• Professional designation such as WCCA, WCCP, ARM, AIC, or CPCU.
• Experience preparing and delivering executive-level stewardship presentations.
• Knowledge and experience with AI.
