Underwriting Assistant (Insurance)

What you will do

• Scan and save Employer Stop Loss policy materials to the shared drive.
• Enter and research information in the ESL/DY system.
• Maintain complete and accurate ESL/DY data to support data collection and evaluation.
• Use independent judgment to determine risk eligibility against available program guidelines.
• Support the Underwriter with daily workflow, administrative, and clerical functions.
• Evaluate insurance applications, assess risk, determine coverage terms and pricing, and support compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard underwriting practices.
