TL;DR
Freight Analyst (SAP/Power BI): Analyzing freight and transportation data, carrier rates, budgets, and SAP route data to develop cost-effective logistics strategies with an accent on quantitative analysis, rate benchmarking, and financial modeling. Focus on building business cases for carrier sourcing, optimizing transportation data systems, and leading cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable logistics savings.
Location: Onsite in Memphis, Tennessee or Cedar Creek, Texas; this is not a remote position.
Salary: $80,800–$126,250 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do
- Perform advanced quantitative analysis of large freight and transportation datasets to identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities.
- Analyze and benchmark carrier rates across LTL, FTL, parcel, intermodal, ocean, and air transportation.
- Develop financial models and business cases for carrier sourcing, RFPs, contract negotiations, and logistics savings.
- Forecast and monitor freight budgets, cost drivers, risks, and transportation performance.
- Maintain SAP transportation routes, condition tables, and master data while building Excel and Power BI dashboards.
- Lead cross-functional transportation optimization projects and recommend scalable process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, finance, engineering, or a related analytical discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in transportation analytics, freight analysis, supply chain analytics, or a related strategic analytical role.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data modeling, pivot tables, and manipulation of large datasets.
- Experience with large-scale quantitative analysis and SAP transportation, logistics, or finance modules.
- Ability to develop data-backed business cases and deliver measurable logistics savings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex analysis to stakeholders at multiple levels.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting or leading transportation RFPs and carrier sourcing initiatives.
- Power BI or similar business intelligence experience.
- Knowledge of transportation modes, freight cost structures, market trends, and capacity dynamics.
- Experience working in a global organization across multiple time zones.
