Senior Zero Trust Architect / Engineer

Location: Bridgewater or Somerset, New Jersey, United States; onsite. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Base pay: $110,706–$145,303 USD annually, plus performance-based bonus and/or equity where applicable.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the enterprise Zero Trust architecture roadmap and reference architectures.
• Design and implement Zero Trust controls across identity, devices, applications, networks, data, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Lead ZTNA, micro-segmentation, software-defined perimeter, and network access modernization initiatives using technologies such as Zscaler, Azure, and AWS.
• Establish secure cloud landing zones, cloud-native security controls, continuous verification, monitoring, and posture management.
• Support incident response, threat hunting, risk assessments, audits, and remediation of security gaps.
• Define maturity metrics and present architecture recommendations and risk findings to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or security engineering experience, including 5+ years designing enterprise security architectures.
• 3+ years leading Zero Trust initiatives or enterprise identity modernization programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Conditional Access, identity governance, PIM, PAM, SSO federation, Defender, Purview, M365, Intune, Azure, AWS, ZTNA, and secure web gateways.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-207, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model.
• English communication skills and authorization to work in the United States are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Microsoft Sentinel, GIAC, Zscaler, Microsoft Security, Azure, network, CISSP, CCSP, or Security+ certifications.
• Mandarin language skills.
