Okta Technical Consultant (OCI/OWI)

Location: Canada; fully remote

Base salary: CAD $105,000–$120,000 per year, plus potential bonus participation.

What you will do

• Lead the technical design, configuration, implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting of Okta solutions for enterprise customers.
• Gather and document post-sales requirements and design secure, scalable identity solutions.
• Implement identity federation and access management using SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and WS-Federation.
• Configure Okta integrations with SaaS, cloud, and on-premises enterprise applications.
• Manage multiple customer deployment projects, including scope, documentation, status, quality, and change management.
• Provide customer training and mentorship, resolve escalated issues, and collaborate with Customer Success, Engineering, Product, and Sales teams.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Technical Consultant delivering complex solutions to external customers.
• Hands-on enterprise experience implementing and deploying Okta solutions.
• Strong knowledge of identity federation and access management protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and WS-Federation.
• Experience with identity lifecycle management, enterprise security standards, cloud architectures, and complex on-premises environments.
• Knowledge of REST/JSON APIs, integration technologies, stakeholder management, and concurrent customer engagements.
• Valid Okta Consultant Certification is required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Okta Developer Certification, Workflows Specialty Certification, or CISSP.
• Experience with Okta Workflows, OIG, OAG, OPA, or Advanced Server Access.
• Development experience with Java, .NET, PHP, JavaScript, Node, React, Angular, or Ember.
• Mobile application development experience and familiarity with AI tools.
• Strong presentation, customer relationship management, and technical problem-solving skills.
