TL;DR
Oracle Security Engineer (OCI): Designing, implementing, and operating security controls across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments with an accent on cloud hardening, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and compliance. Focus on defining security architecture, integrating workloads with SIEM platforms, responding to incidents, and building resilient production security solutions.
Location: 100% remote within the United States
Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do
- Design, implement, and operate security controls across OCI, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
- Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using cloud-native security frameworks and CIS benchmarks.
- Manage OCI identity, access policies, federation, and related security services.
- Lead vulnerability management, patching, compliance, and security incident response programs.
- Integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms and collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute through code and design reviews while mentoring more junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of cloud security experience and strong hands-on OCI experience; 6+ years of overall experience required.
- Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
- Experience with vulnerability management and patching tools, SIEM integrations, and regulatory frameworks including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus Terraform experience.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
Nice to have
- Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
- CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
- Experience with multi-cloud security architectures.
- Familiarity with SOAR platforms, automated incident response, and zero-trust architecture patterns.
